Affordable Meals You Can Split at Disney World Resort
Sharing Meals at Disney World Resort
Finding meals to split at Disney World is a great way to save money. And, most of the dishes at Disney have very generous portions. I’ve typed up a post a few years ago about the meals to split at Disney World. It was very popular but it feels like a million things have changed since then. So… I decided to write a refreshed list for 2022.
Disney World has updated many of its menus. And, even if many popular dishes remain the same, many new items have been added. And, Disney offers many allergy-friendly foods and even plant-based options. So, this list was in need of some major updating.
Now, if you have a big appetite, splitting meals at Disney World may not work for you. I know I’m starving after walking around Disney all day. And, the food is really good – I don’t want to share (is that wrong?!?)

Are All Meals Sharable?
No, not all meals at Disney World are shareable. Please know, when making your plans, you can’t split a family-style meal or buffet meal. But, any quick service or table service meal that is not prix fixe (total fixed price for each person) can be shared. For example, if you go to Be Our Guest for lunch, the prices are prix fixe. You will pay $62.00 per adult and $37.00 per child. You can’t split this meal. But, if you see a menu with individual prices for each food item, then you can split those entrees/snacks/desserts/meals.
Other Ways to Save Money on Food at Disney
- Adults can order Kid’s Meals for themselves. I find that the portions are smaller but still generous. And, they usually come with a side, some fruit, and a drink. Yes, you will find a lot of sandwiches and burgers, but some of the kid’s meals are very interesting choices.
- Children can also split meals at Disney World. Kids can order and share an “adult” entree. Maybe the restaurant only serves Uncrustables and Turkey Sandwiches from the kid’s menu. The kiddos could, instead, split a chicken breast nugget meal (8 decent-sized chicken nuggets and fries) or a bowl of spaghetti with meatballs (or any other entree). Hopefully, you’re lucky and your kiddos will want to eat the same entree.
- Cups of water are FREE.
- You can bring your own snacks and even meals to Disney World. I’ve seen a mom whip out bread and peanut butter from underneath her stroller and start making sandwiches for her kids. While waiting in line for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, I watched a young man behind us pull out a Tupperware of pasta to eat.
- You can split an entree and add a side or two to keep costs down. Or, add bread (a few restaurants offer complimentary bread). These can make your meal more filling and make for an inexpensive breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I’ve tried to give you many examples of these in the list below.
…continued
- Bring your own food/snacks for your room. If you’re driving to Disney, you can bring groceries with you. Or, if you have a rental car while in Orlando, you can do Grocery pickup. You can also have food delivered from an online grocer. Just know that most resorts do charge a fee now ( I think it’s like $6.00).
- Eat breakfast in your room. I’m not a big breakfast eater. I like a cup of coffee (or 4) and maybe a granola bar to keep me going until lunch. Disney hotels usually have a mini fridge in the room for juice and yogurt, etc. And, if there isn’t a microwave in your room, there should be one at the resort food court. We’ve used this to heat up frozen breakfast foods or leftovers (pizza for breakfast, anyone?)
- If staying off-site, find a hotel that offers a free breakfast. Or, find a hotel with a kitchenette or an Airbnb to make your own breakfast (or lunch or dinner).
- After a long day at the parks, a day off from the parks, or an arrival day, just order a pizza. Wait for it to be delivered, and share it with the family for a relatively cheap dinner. Family-sized pizzas (About 8 slices) usually run about $17.99+ plus tax and tip.
- If you have Starbucks gift cards lying around, bring them to Disney World. You can use them at any Starbucks location in the parks. See locations HERE.
Here are the meals you can split:
Magic Kingdom
- Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) – Two people could easily share the massive portions of Lobster Roll. It is served with homemade chips for $18.99.
- Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) 2 people could share the Trio Platter. It includes a combination of Fried Shrimp, Chicken Strips, and Battered Fish. It’s served with Hushpuppies and a choice of a side for $14.29. Even if you add an extra order of fries for $4.99, it’s a hearty meal for about $20.00 (plus tax). Most Sides are $4.99, except for the New England Clam Chowder ($6.79). Adding a side is a cheap way to bulk up a meal you are splitting at Disney. See the full menu HERE.
Tony’s Town Square Restuarant
- Tony’s Town Square Restaurant – Adults can split the Chicken Parmesan (chicken breast with provolone and a side of pasta with marinara) for $30.00. Kiddos can easily share the Spaghetti and Meatballs Kid’s Meal (spaghetti pasta with marinara and meatballs with 2 sides and a drink) for $!2.50. See the Tony’s Town Menu HERE. If a family of 4 splits these 2 meals and drinks water (w/1 kid drink included) – this meal would be $42.50 (plus tax + tip).

- Casey’s Corner– Order an All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog (with a choice of French Fries or a Cuties® Mandarin) for $12.79 and add Chipotle Barbecue Loaded Fries (fries with Pulled Pork, Slaw, and Chipotle Barbecue Sauce) for $7.79 – the total comes to about $21.00 (plus tax)
- Pinnochio Village Haus – Two people can share the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread (or Cheese or All Meat Flatbread) for $12.79-13.29 and add an extra order of Garlic Breadsticks with House-made Marinara for $6.99. These offers are for lunch and dinner. Drink free cups of iced water and you’ve got a lunch or dinner for about $21.00. See the full menu HERE.
P.S. I can honestly eat the Pinocchio Village flatbread by myself – It’s basically like having 2 slices of pizza. Some people may find this enough to share (especially kids), but I would also need the breadsticks if I had to share. See the photo of the flatbread above.
Pictured Above: Footlong Chili Cheese Dog (with onions) $13.99 and add 1-2 orders of French Fries to Share $4.99 for each order of fries

Sleepy Hollow
- Sleepy Hollow (in Liberty Square) – Snack -Try the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich. It’s a Nutella-covered waffle with Blueberries, Strawberries, and Banana’s is a hearty snack for at least 2 people for $8.29.
- Sleepy Hollow (in Liberty Square) – Two people could split a Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich (Broccoli Slaw with a Honey-Sriracha Glaze served with House-made Chips) for $10.49 served with chips (You can add an extra order of house-made chips for $2.99) and that’s a meal/snack for 2 people for less than $15.00. I know a family of 3 that orders 2 Chicken Waffles and 1 fruit waffle. They split the 3 waffles, getting lunch and dessert for 3 people for about $30.00 or $10.00 each.
Friar’s Nook & Liberty Square Market
- Friar’s Nook (Fantasyland) – Two kids could split the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Hot Dog Tots for $11.49. Adults might share, especially if you add a side of tats with cheese sauce for $5.49. That’s a good size meal for about $17.00 (plus tax). See the full menu HERE.
- Liberty Square Market (Liberty Square) – The Turkey Legs at Liberty Square Market is HUGE and can be shared. They are $12.49. You can add on a couple of sides from the menu and still spend less than $20.00 for two people to share. Or add a Mickey Pretzel w/cheese for $7.19 to split and share both (turkey leg & pretzel) for around $20.00 (plus tax).
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café (Tomorrowland) – Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café offers a Chili Cheese All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog (served with fries) for $13.99. You can split the chili dog, add another order of fries for $4.49 and two people have a meal for $18.48 (plus tax).
EPCOT
This is my opinion about EPCOT – which you can take or leave. If you are visiting EPCOT with a friend or partner, I suggest that you visit all the kiosks and quick-service counters that you like. Share everything. That way, you get to try a nice variety of foods and you can eat your way “around the world”.
With that being said, there are a lot of options at EPCOT if you are looking for meals to split at this Disney World park:
- Via Napoli (Italy) – Located in the Italy Pavilion in the World Showcase, this Italian restaurant serves up some hearty dishes. You can get a Family House Salad that serves a minimum of 2 people for $9.00. Large pizzas cost anywhere from $33.00 to $54.00. One scenario could be that a couple or small family gets the Family House Salad for $9.00 AND a 20″ Large Margherita Pizza for $33.00 – If everyone drinks water, that’s $42.00 for dinner for a couple or family of 3-4. A large spicy Italian sausage pizza is $38.00, so add the $9.00 family salad, and drink water, and your dinner total is $47.00.
- Via Napoli (Italy) – If you have a larger group or family, you could order the Margherita 1/2 Meter Mezzo Metro for $44.00. It’s massive (see photo below). Depending on your group size (and how much pizza they like to eat), this could cost $5.50 – 7.50 per person. Let’s say 6 people share this pizza – that’s about $7.35 per person. If you throw in a couple of Family House Saladas + the Meter Mezzo Pizza ($62.00 total)-that’s about $10.35 per person (for 6 people). If 8 people share the huge pizza that’s $5.50 per person. Or, if you throw in a couple of Family Salads + Pizza ($62.00 total) – that’s about $7.75 per person (for 8 peeps).
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie
- Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie (France)- Okay, so this is more of a “cheap eats” option than a meal to split. But, I’ll take any excuse to visit this restaurant – it’s so good! The Croissant Jambon Fromage (Ham & Cheese Croissant w/bechamel) here is only $6.95 (and they’ll heat it up if you ask). The Quiche Lorraine (Ham and Gruyere) is $7.00. And, the Bisque de Homard (Lobster Bisque in a bread bowl) is $5.95. A couple could pick 2 options and even throw in a fresh-baked French Baguette to share for $3.50, and you’ve got a filling meal for less than $20.00. (Individual Croissants are $2.95 each if you prefer those to baguettes – or, they’re such a good deal – get both!!)
La Cantina de San Angel
- La Cantina de San Angel (Mexico) -Kids (or adults) can split the Chicken Tacos (grilled chicken on corn tortillas served with Tortilla Chips, Nacho Cheese, a Drink, and a side of Fruit) for $9.25. You can even add a side of rice ($2.25) and a side of beans ($2.25) for the kids to share and you’ve got a filling meal for $13.75.
- La Cantina de San Angel (Mexico) -Two people could share the Taco Trio (Barbacoa, Pollo, and Pescado Tacos on homemade Corn Tortillas – served with Rice and Black Beans with Queso Fresco) for $14.99. You can even add an extra side of rice ($2.25) and a side of beans ($2.25) to split and the meal is $19.49 (plus tax). You honestly could share any of the entrees here (tacos, nachos, empanadas) adding a side of rice and beans and you’ll end up paying around $20.00.
Tacos!! at La Cantina de San Angel
- Block & Hans (American Adventure)- For a hearty snack, split a Mickey Pretzel with Cheese Sauce AND a Craft Beer for about $18.25 (plus tax). Mickey Pretzels are only $7.50 if you want to split a snack without the beer.
- Restaurant Marrakesh (Morocco) – You could split the Appetizer Combination for Two (Beef Brewat Rolls, Chicken Bastilla, and Jasmina Salad). It is available for lunch and dinner and is $17.99. Or, split the Bastilla Dessert for 2 for $10.99.
La Hacienda de San Angel
- At La Hacienda de San Angel, two people can split the Guacamole (with Mango Salsa) for $14.00 as an appetizer and order the Tacos de Camarones (fried shrimp, Chipotle-Lime Aioli, Cabbage, and salsa verde in flour tortillas -served with a side of rice) for $31.00.
Sunshine Seasons
- Sunshine Seasons – The Oak-Grilled Rotisserie Chicken at Sunshine Seasons is served with Yellow Rice and Black Beans (you can ask to substitute other sides). It can easily be shared by two people and costs $12.79. You could even split a dessert (Mini Chocolate Bundt Cake, Lemon Chiffon, or Strawberry Shortcake) for $5.29 and you’ve got a meal for 2 for about $18.00 (plus tax).

- Woody’s Lunchbox in Toy Story Land- The BBQ Brisket Melt (Shredded Smoked Brisket, Pickles, and Tangy Barbecue Sauce between Melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack on Grilled Sourdough Bread) is huge and could be shared by two people ($12.99). Throw in a side of Totchos (Tator Tots with Beef and Bean Chili, Shredded Cheese, Queso, Tomatoes, Corn Chips, Sour Cream, and Green Onions for $9.99 – then you really have a big lunch for about $23.00 (plus tax). Other sides include tomato basil soup for $3.49.
50’s Prime Time Cafe
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe – Two people could easily share A Sampling of Mom’s Favorite Recipes – it includes Golden-fried Chicken, Fork Tender Pot Roast, and Traditional Meatloaf and sides for $27.00. See the 50’s Prime Time Cafe Menu HERE.
- 50’s Prime Time Café – Try Aunt Liz’s Fried Chicken. Sharing this entree may be questionable for some. The chicken portions are huge, but the chicken is so good, you may not want to share! This fried chicken is served with mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and collard greens for $25.00.
Mama Melrose
- Mama Melrose – First, you need to know that your server will bring you a basket of complimentary Italian bread, butter, and EVOO w/italian herbs. So, in addition to your entree, you’ll get bread, which is very filling. Oven-baked Chicken Alla Parmigiana (Breaded Chicken Breast, Marinara Sauce, Melted Mozzarella, and Spaghetti) for $26.00. The Spaghetti and Meatballs are $24.00. 2 people could also share a Margherita Flatbread for $15.00. With pasta, bread, and pizza being so filling, these are some of the best meals to split at Disney World that fills you up!

That’s a meal for two to split for about $18.00 (plus tax). It’s such a good deal, you should split a strawberry Flamingo Cupcake for $5.99. That’s still only about $25.00 for two for lunch, including dessert.

I want to thank Taylor Bailey at Disrella Travel for planning this trip for us and answering all of our questions! If you need/want help planning your Disney trip, she’s your girl! And, having a Disney planner is no extra cost to you. I actually priced the trip out myself on disney.go.com and Taylor’s quote was about $600 less than what I had planned myself! We loved our room location, our dining reservations, and having someone help us make decisions and figure things out!

Love this! Since the food is so expensive, this is the perfect way for everyone to share a meal and the price!
I haven’t been to Disney World yet, but I would like to go to the land of children’s dreams one day. A great tip for families with children is that some meals can be shared. It’s great that you give such detailed tips on how to save. It’s so important when traveling with kids.
I haven’t been to Disney World, but knowing that there are places where you can split a meal, that’s really great! Definitely money saver! It’s a good tip to buy kids meal, too.
Such a wonderful post. Places like Disney World are so expensive when it comes to food. Everything is overpriced. This detailed guide is insightful. I’m sure this will help people save lots of money. I like your idea of buying kids’ meals to save money. I’m sure it is enough for most adults.
One thing that my hubby doesn’t like Disneyland is because of the food. It is quite expensive indeed but we also find ways to save on the costs. The important is having juices and water always especially when we visit during summer.
It’s always fun to share your food with your family. I really want that pizza from Blaze Pizza! So yum!
Wow…I so badly want to visit Disney World! What a range of meals you have shared here, that they have. I am impressed! Thanks for sharing about them.
Very informative, I think would save money getting your own supplies before going to Disney.
I will bring my own snacks next time I visit Disney world. Thanks for the tips
These are some great tips to save money on food at Disney World. I’ve never even thought about them
I must admit that we split meals all the time. We call it HAM – half a meal. It is a good way to try more than one dish for us and to share really big portions. Good to know there are lots of options at Disney to split meals. And some good tips for other ways to save money on food.
HAM – I love it!!
I think breakfast is a waste of time while on vacation. I definitely agrre that eating something in your room before you go out for the day is the best. Also, we always liked sit down meals that were an experience such as a show or characters. Other than that splitting something to eat quick is the way to go. One time, when my kids were small, 4 of us shared one of those giant turkey legs for lunch and were completely satisfied.
Yes! Where are those huge turkeys coming from!?!?
It seems like there are many places where you can share a meal at Disney World. And prices sound reasonable for the dishes. I really like the photos of Chef Art Smith’s homecomin’. Thank you for sharing! It’s helpful to have such information before visiting.
Oh, yes, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is wonderful!
This will come in handy as we are going to Disney next month. So many food options!
Yay! I hope you have a wonderful trip!!
This is such a useful post for anyone heading to Disney in the future. Honestly would never thought of this as something I might need, but it is!
It’s good to know where you can split a meal. The cost of entry etc is expensive so cutting costs where you can is important. They seem to have a range of foods available.
Such a great selection of meals to split, I had no idea that Disney had so much choice!
Those are some good snacks! I wish I could go there as soon as possible! I want to try eating them now!
One of my favorite things to do at Disney is eat, so I’m always looking for ways to find the best places while saving money!
Oh, yes, I have been very impressed with the food at Disney! I go there for all the snacks!
