Atlanta Georgia has a diverse and lively food scene. It’s hard to pick just a few favorite restaurants since there are so many spectacular places to enjoy here. You can read my original post 17 Great Places to Eat & Drink in Atlanta, Georgia to read about these restaurants:

In addition to this previous post, I wanted to include some new and old favorites – many showcasing the new farm-to-table movement. From fine dining to casual eateries, I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll love!

P.S. Don’t worry…since there are so many wonderful restaurants in Atlanta, I am working on another list!

Hungry Peach

The Hungry Peach Cafe serves fresh and creative salads, soups, and sandwiches. From the Cuban Sandwich to the Coconut Cake, this cafe serves a variety of southern foods that will please anyone.

The Hungry Peach serves breakfast and lunch. They also have a grab-and-go service for those who want their food to go.

For an appetizer, you’ll love the Pimento Cheese Bites. The homemade pimento cheese is served with pepper jelly and toasted Challah Bread – YUM! Also, try the Chicken Pesto Panini or the Peach Burger for lunch. Definitely order the Steak Tacos (if they are serving them on special).

Holeman & Finch Public House

Holeman & Finch is a restaurant and pub with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is fresh and the ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced.

For an appetizer, try the Deviled Eggs Three Ways – they are so good! Popular entrees include burgers and Roasted Springer Mountain Chicken. Mamak

Mamak serves flavorful dishes inspired by street Vendors in Malaysia. This small restaurant serves thoughtfully and deliciously prepared Malaysian classic food with a lot of flavors. The flavors are inspired by traditional Chinese, Indian, and Singaporean comfort foods.

Enjoy the Hainanese Chicken over rice or the wok-fried flat rice noodles with beef. The Curry Laksa is also very popular. They also serve Malaysian Iced Coffee which is very sweet and delicious.

Two Urban Licks

Two Urban Licks is a modern restaurant that serves creative dishes in generous portions. In addition to its delicious wood-fired cuisine, Two Urban Licks offers sensational views of the downtown Atlanta Skyline.

You gotta try the Salmon Chips as an appetizer. They are delicious and they are served with Chipotle Cream Cheese, red onion, and capers. The Empanadas are also a popular choice for an appetizer. They include brisket, pico de gallo, feta, and garlic crema.

Two Urban Licks is open for BRUNCH or DINNER. You can guarantee that whatever you order, you’ll enjoy the creative flavor profiles.

Aviva By Kameel

Aviva By Kameel is a very popular, casual Mediterranean restaurant and it’s popular for good reason. The food is fresh, clean, and delicious. There is usually a line, but don’t worry, it moves quickly and the food is worth the wait! P.S. Sometimes they pass around samples to try while you are in line.

This restaurant only uses the freshest, highest quality produce that is locally sourced. All of their meats are from the US and don’t contain any additives or extra hormones. They only use olive oil for all of their cooking – no other oils or butter. 

Aviva by Kameel offers so many choices – what should you get?!? Try the Chicken Shawarma Platter with baba ganoush and creamy spinach. They also offer Vegan and Gluten-free options. See the full menu HERE.

South City Kitchen

South City Kitchen serves innovative dishes that are created with the freshest ingredients. Both restaurants are very popular and reservations are recommended.

Your waiter will bring by a basket of homemade biscuits and cornbread with apple butter and they are delicious! The fried chicken and fried green tomatoes are big favorites at South City Kitchen. Try the Chicken with Malted Buttermilk Waffles – they are also big hits among patrons.

The red wine-marinated Brisket is also fantastic. It is served with hollandaise, creole mustard, and pickled jalapeno. It is a flavor party in your mouth!

Miller Union

Miller Union is a rustic yet modern restaurant that serves imaginative dishes created with fresh, local ingredients. This farm-to-table restaurant lets the seasonal ingredients dictate the simple menu.

Try the Grits Balls (with ham & Cheese), the Peach & Bourbon Glazed Quail, and the Vegetable Platter. Grass-fed burgers are also very popular. They are really yummy with their fries and house-made ketchup. The feta snack and popular farm egg in celery cream are two of their most popular appetizers.

At lunch, Miller Union serves homemade ice cream sandwiches. The ice cream flavors change daily, and I recommend saving room for one of them.

Chai Pani

Chai Pani serves Indian street food on small tapas-style plates. You can order several menu items and share them with everyone at your table. This way you can sample several of the creative dishes.

Not sure what to try? The Okra Fries, the Butter Chicken Thali, and the Chicken Pakoras are some of the big favorites. You can also try the Sloppy Jai. It is a lamb hash simmered with tomatoes and ginger and served on a bun. You won’t regret ordering it!

BoccaLupo

Pictured Above: Black Spaghetti With Hot Calabrese Sausage, Red Shrimp & Scallions

Located in Inman Park, BoccoLupo serves Italian-American dishes that are made with seasonal ingredients. This restaurant also offers an extensive wine and cocktail list. The atmosphere is casual and the service is friendly.

If you’re feeling brave, try the Octopus appetizer. It is delicious and is served with mortadella spiedino, field peas, marsala, and benne seed. The pasta is homemade and the ever-changing pasta options are always delicious. For dessert, try Big Ry’s chocolate “éclair”. You’ll love it!

BoccaLupo does offer a few vegetarian options and some of their dishes can be re-created to be vegan.

Atlas

If you feel like dressing up for an elegant dinner, then you’ll love Atlas. This restaurant offers exceptional food, atmosphere, and service. It is a relatively “young” restaurant (open about 4 years), but it has received several honors and accolades and is very popular.

As you admire the restaurant’s impressive gallery of 20th-century artwork, your server will bring you a nice variety of rolls and butter. The menu at Atlas changes every week to feature new chef creations and the freshest seasonal ingredients. See this week’s menu HERE.

Bread & Butterfly

You know how sometimes you just want to fly to Paris for a fresh croissant, but then your bank account says, “Slow-your-roll there, buddy! You poor.”

Well, now, when you’re craving Parisian cuisine, just head to Bread & Butterfly in Inman Park. This cafe and bistro is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Brunch is served on the weekends from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

While soaking in the European-inspired decor and atmosphere, you can order a cappuccino, chai latte, or glass of wine. For breakfast, I recommend the pancakes or the omelets – both are phenomenal. The Nest egg with Prosciutto and Parmesan is also very popular.

Other favorite dishes include leeks vinaigrette, moules frites, and trout rillettes. Evenings can be lively with live music, wine, and cocktails. It’s a great spot for a date night!

Taqueria del Sol

Taqueria del Sol is a great spot to grab some Mexican favorites – tacos, enchiladas, soups, and chilis. You can choose one of your favorites from the menu or go rogue and try one of their daily specials (for example, The Nutty Shrimp Taco Daily Special).

Try the Fried Chicken Tacos with lime-jalapeño mayonnaise or the Brisket Enchiladas with a side of turnip greens. P.S. The enchiladas are served with the choice of beef red chili, pork green chili, or lemon cream sauce- YUM! The delicious possibilities are endless! Their Shrimp & Corn Chowder is also phenomenal. Taqueria del Sol is very popular and there is usually a line. But, don’t let that deter you. The line moves quickly and the food is definitely worth the wait!

Aria is a fine dining restaurant that serves modern American cuisine. Each meal can be paired with a wine from their award-winning wine list or one of their distinctive cocktails.

Aria has won many awards and recognitions and is the perfect restaurant for a date night or special occasion.

5Church is known for its delicious food and stylish atmosphere (no flip-flops, sweatpants, and ATL Braves jerseys here!). Dishes are made from locally sourced ingredients and the menu changes seasonally.
