Satu’li Canteen is a Quick Service Restaurant located in Pandora — The World of AVATAR in Disney World’s Animal Kingdom park! A quick-service restaurant is one where you order the food at the counter (or in the app) and bring it to your table. It is like fast food but a little more upscale. The dining area is very nice and the plates and silverware are real. We love the AIR CONDITIONING inside Satu’li Canteen. There are also fans on the outside patio area.

Satu’li Canteen is open for lunch and dinner only. Lunch service begins at 10:00 am and stays open until the park closes. There is plenty of seating inside and outside at this restaurant. This is a a great place for groups to eat as some tables are large.

Does Satu’li Canteen have Mobile Ordering?

Yes! Satu’li Canteen offers a pre-order and pre-pay option through the My Disney Experience app.

The Experience

The theming of Satu’li Canteen fits right in with the rest of Pandora. The building is a former RDA mess hall which now serves the same purpose for Alpha Centauri Expeditions. You can see artifacts of the Na’vi culture throughout the dining areas. I love the combination of industrial and native aesthetics.

The Menu

The food at Satu’li Canteen is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The menu includes customizable bowls and Steamed Pods (their version of Bao Buns). They also serve unique drinks and desserts. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.

As of 04/2024, all entrees are under $18.00 and most are less than $15.00.

Cheeseburger Steamed Pods

• Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns Steamed Cheeseburger Pod stuffed with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar Cheese served with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Vegetable Chips

Create-Your-Own Bowl

When ordering a bowl, you choose a protein, a base, and a sauce. Proteins offered are beef, chicken, and shrimp or a combination.

Your choice of bases includes:

• Red & Sweet Potato Hash
• Rice & Beans
• Noodles
• Hearty Salad
• No Base

Sauces include:

• Charred Green Onion Vinaigrette
• Creamy Herb Dressing
• Black Bean Vinaigrette
• No Sauce

You can also get your dish topped with slaw and boba balls.

It’s nice that you can eat here multiple times and always try something new because there are so many flavor/bowl combinations.

Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef

• Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef – Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls served with your choice of Base and Sauce

Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl

• Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl – Wood-Grilled Chicken Thighs (marinated with Garlic and Olive Oil) topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls. It is served with your choice of Base and Sauce. I went with the gluten-free option of black beans and rice.

Combination Bowl

• Combination Bowl: Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef and Wood-grilled Chicken -Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef, Wood-Grilled Chicken Thighs (marinated in Garlic and Olive Oil) topped with crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls. Served with your choice of Base and Sauce.

Ocean Moon Bowl

• Ocean Moon Bowl – Blue Noodles, Tuna, Watermelon Radish, Pickled Daikon, Rainbow Carrots, Avocado, Cucumbers, and Red Cabbage with Miso and Sweet Soy Drizzle topped with Micro Cilantro.

Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl

• Chili-Garlic Shrimp Bowl – Shrimp (in a Chili-Garlic Sauce) topped with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Boba Balls. It is served with your choice of Base and Sauce.

Satu’li Canteen offers water, coffee, milk, and fountain drinks. They have the Pandoran Sunrise as a specialty drink. It consists of Pineapple Juice, Limeade, and Melon Powerade.

• Ilu Splash Margarita – Corazón Blanco Tequila with Kiwi, Sour Mix, Lime Juice, and a Kiwi Slice
• Banshee Chardonnay, Sonoma, Earth – 148 mL Glass – Aromas and flavors of Apple, Pear, Citrus and hints of Vanilla
• Banshee Pinot Noir, Sonoma, Earth – 148 mL Glass – Ripe Cherry, Raspberry, and floral characteristics with a silky texture

We love Satu’li Canteen and we can’t wait to eat there again! It is one of our favorite quick-service restaurants in Animal Kingdom. The unique and delicious food and the atmosphere are hard to beat.
