The Best Cheap Eats at Hollywood Studios
I LOOooOOVe Hollywood Studios! It’s my favorite park at Disney World! It has amazing rides like Slinky Dog Dash, Rock n Roller Coaster, and Rise of the Resistance. It also has some delicious FOOD! Whether you want a homemade Toy Story Themed pop tart, Country Cookin’ from the ’50s, Pasta from Mama Melrose’s, or Blue Milk like Luke Skywalker drinks…well, there’s something for everyone to try at Hollywood Studios.
And…
Disney has just announced a special offer for dining with certain packages. That has got me thinking about the best cheap eats at Hollywood Studios – getting the most bang for my buck!
I have found that there are two really great ways to save money on food at Disney World:
- Split or Share Meals (if possible)
- Find Meals and Snacks That are $10.00 or less
So, I compiled a list of meals you can share and food under $10 at Hollywood Studios and I’m sharing it with you! You can also scroll down to the bottom of this post for more Disney money-saving tips
#1 Meals You Can Split at Hollywood Studios
Finding meals to split at Disney World is a great way to save money. And, most of the dishes at Disney have very generous portions. Now, if you have a big appetite, splitting meals at Disney World may not work for you. I know I’m starving after walking around Disney all day. And, the food is really good – I don’t want to share (is that wrong?!?)
Are All Meals Sharable?
No, not all meals at Disney World are shareable. Please know, when making your plans, you can’t split a family-style meal or buffet meal. But, any quick service or table service meal that is not prix fixe (total fixed price for each person) can be shared. For example, if you go to Be Our Guest (in Magic Kingdom) for lunch, the prices are prix fixe. You will pay $62.00 per adult and $37.00 per child. You can’t split this meal. But, if you see a menu with individual prices for each food item, then you can split those entrees/snacks/desserts/meals.

- Catalina Eddie’s (Sunset Boulevard)- Order the Pepperoni Pizza that comes with a Ceasar Salad for $11.29 (Or Cheese Pizza with Ceasar Salad for $10.49). Add breadsticks for $4.99 to share. You have a meal you can split for about $16.00 -$17.00 (plus tax).
- Woody’s Lunchbox in Toy Story Land- The BBQ Brisket Melt (Shredded Smoked Brisket, Pickles, and Tangy Barbecue Sauce between Melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack on Grilled Sourdough Bread) is huge and could be shared by two people ($13.29). Throw in a side of Totchos (Tator Tots with Beef and Bean Chili, Shredded Cheese, Queso, Tomatoes, Corn Chips, Sour Cream, and Green Onions for $9.99 – then you really have a big lunch for about $24.00 (plus tax). Other sides include tomato basil soup for $3.49 and Potato Barrels for $4.49 – Add one to this meal for a total of less than $30.00 for 2 people.
50’s Prime Time Cafe
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe – Two people could easily share A Sampling of Mom’s Favorite Recipes – it includes Golden-fried Chicken, Fork Tender Pot Roast, and Traditional Meatloaf and sides for $28.00. See the 50’s Prime Time Cafe Menu HERE.
- 50’s Prime Time Café – Try Aunt Liz’s Fried Chicken. Sharing this entree may be questionable for some. The chicken portions are huge, but the chicken is so good, you may not want to share! This fried chicken is served with mashed potatoes with chicken gravy and collard greens for $26.00.
Mama Melrose
- Mama Melrose – First, you need to know that your server will bring you a basket of complimentary Italian bread, butter, and EVOO w/italian herbs with your entree. So, in addition to your entree, you’ll get bread, which is very filling. Two can split the Oven-baked Chicken alla Parmigiana (Breaded Chicken Breast, Marinara Sauce, Melted Mozzarella, and Spaghetti) for $27.00. The Spaghetti and Meatballs are $26.00. 2 people could also share a Margherita Flatbread for $16.00. You could even split a dessert – they are all $10.00 or less, many are $8.00 or less – and you’ve got dinner and a dessert for about $24.00 – $26.00 (plus tax). See the full menu HERE. With pasta, bread, and pizza being so filling, these are some of the best meals to split at Disney World that fills you up!

Other Ways to Save Money on Food at Disney
- Adults can order Kid’s Meals for themselves. I find that the portions are smaller but still generous. And, they usually come with a side, some fruit, and a drink. Yes, you will find a lot of sandwiches and burgers, but some of the kid’s meals are very interesting choices.
- Children can also split meals at Disney World. Kids can order and share an “adult” entree. Maybe the restaurant only serves Uncrustables and Turkey Sandwiches from the kid’s menu. The kiddos could, instead, split a chicken breast nugget meal (8 decent-sized chicken nuggets and fries) or a bowl of spaghetti with meatballs (or any other entree). Hopefully, you’re lucky and your kiddos will want to eat the same entree.
- Cups of water are FREE.
- Get the Popcorn Bucket IF you LOVE popcorn. It’s $13.00 and a popcorn refill is $2.25 for the entire length of your stay! It’s a great snack… and you can share! The bucket also counts as a souvenir that you can take home!
- You can bring your own snacks and even meals to Disney World. I’ve seen a mom whip out bread and peanut butter from underneath her stroller and start making sandwiches for her kids. While waiting in line for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, I watched a young man behind us pull out a Tupperware of pasta to eat.
- You can split an entree and add a side or two to keep costs down. Or, add bread (a few restaurants offer complimentary bread). These can make your meal more filling and make for an inexpensive breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I’ve tried to give you many examples of these in the lists above.
…continued
- Bring your own food/snacks for your room. If you’re driving to Disney, you can bring groceries with you. Or, if you have a rental car while in Orlando, you can do Grocery pickup. You can also have food delivered from an online grocer. Just know that most resorts do charge a fee now ( I think it’s like $6.00).
- Eat breakfast in your room. I’m not a big breakfast eater. I like a cup of coffee (or 4) and maybe a granola bar to keep me going until lunch. Disney hotels usually have a mini fridge in the room for juice and yogurt, etc. And, if there isn’t a microwave in your room, there should be one at the resort food court. We’ve used this to heat up frozen breakfast foods or leftovers (pizza for breakfast, anyone?)
- If staying off-site, find a hotel that offers a free breakfast. Or, find a hotel with a kitchenette or an Airbnb to make your own breakfast (or lunch or dinner).
- After a long day at the parks, a day off from the parks, or an arrival day, just order a pizza. Wait for it to be delivered, and share it with the family for a relatively cheap dinner. Family-sized pizzas (About 8 slices) usually run about $17.99+ plus tax and tip.
- If you have Starbucks gift cards lying around, bring them to Disney World. You can use them at any Starbucks location in the parks. See locations HERE.

This post is so helpful! We are always looking for ways to save money while traveling, especially to Disney World.
Same! I try to travel on the cheap so I can travel more!
To have the full Disney experience, you need to try out the food sure but what if you are on a tight budget? This informative and detailed post surely helps a lot in knowing the cheap price but delicious at the same time.
Yes, exactly…some families can only go on a budget – we’ve definitely tried all of these tricks to save money.
The food looks delicious and the prices aren’t bad. It’s nice to know that there are some inexpensive snacks and meals at Hollywood Studios.
We’ve tried a lot of these and they are really good!
I wish I had read this before we went! Food at Disney is so pricey!
Next time!!
Wow…this is quite the collection you came up with here. Would I be crazy to say that I want to visit them all?
Not at all! That’s what I like to do, too!
While they are titled the cheap eats they don’t look cheap at all! What an impressive list, and thanks a lot for sharing all these reviews and information!
Yes, Disney treats are very good quality. Some of the produce for Disney is actually grown on property (you can see and learn about it when you ride Living on the Land in The LAND area of Epcot).
The prices are so good. I had been to Disney years back and I loved eating there. You refreshed my memory…
I was honestly thinking about how some of these are cheaper than the fast food around here!
The Italian food – yum. Omg, I might have that for just myself. Thank you for showing the food rates!
You’re Welcome! Yeah, I never share…I want it all for myself : )
My family loves Hollywood Studios too. We often go so knowing which food is cheap helps us save money.
We like the table service restaurants but I think we like riding rollercoasters more. We’d rather order the less expensive foods and spend more time exploring the park (and we save money).
We haven’t been to Disney since 2019 but love Hollywood Studios, too! I want to go back for the whole new Star Wars area now. We have talked about taking the kids next summer so this is a great resource as we always end up spending so much on food.
We were the same. We went right before COVID and just recently went back. Hollywood Studios is my favorite park. You will love Galaxy’s Edge! It’s really cool.
This will be so helpful when we are heading to Disney World this year. Disney World/Land or even Hollywood Studios can be so expensive!
So true! But, we eat cheap and still have the best time!
Nice to know they have cheap eats at Hollywood Studios. I would have thought it would be more expensive. This help with my trip planning!
You can spend as much or as little as you want at Disney World! You can even bring in your own food if you want.
