The Best Cheap Eats at Magic Kingdom
Disney has just announced a special offer for dining with certain packages. That has got me thinking about the best cheap eats at Magic Kingdom – getting the most bang for my buck!
I have found that there are two really great ways to save money on food at Disney World:
- Split or Share Meals (if possible)
- Find Meals and Snacks That are $10.00 or less
So, I compiled a list of meals you can share and food under $10 at Magic Kingdom and I’m sharing it with you! You can also scroll down to the bottom of this post for more Disney money-saving tips.
#1 Meals You Can Split at Magic Kingdom
Are All Meals at Magic Kingdom Sharable?
No, not all meals at Disney World are shareable. Please know, when making your plans, you can’t split a family-style meal or buffet meal. But, any quick service or table service meal that is not prix fixe (total fixed price for each person) can be shared. For example, if you go to Be Our Guest for lunch, the prices are prix fixe. You will pay $62.00 per adult and $37.00 per child. You can’t split this meal. But, if you see a menu with individual prices for each food item, then you can split those entrees/snacks/desserts/meals.
MAGIC KINGDOM
Columbia Harbor House (in Liberty Square)
- Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) – Two people could easily share the massive portions of Lobster Roll. It is served with homemade chips for $16.99.
- Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) 2 people could share the Trio Platter. It includes a combination of Fried Shrimp, Chicken Strips, and Battered Fish. It’s served with Hushpuppies and a choice of a side for $14.29. Even if you add an extra order of fries for $4.49, it’s a hearty meal for about $19.00 (plus tax). Most Sides are $4.49, except for the New England Clam Chowder ($6.79). And, the New England Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl ($7.49). Adding a side is a cheap way to bulk up a meal you are splitting at Disney. See the full menu HERE.
TONY’S TOWN SQUARE RESTAURANT (on Main Street, U.S.A.)
- Tony’s Town Square Restaurant – Adults can split the Chicken Parmesan (chicken breast with provolone and a side of pasta with marinara) for $27.00. Kiddos can easily share the Spaghetti and Meatballs Kid’s Meal (spaghetti pasta with marinara and meatballs with 2 sides and a drink) for $10.00. See the Tony’s Town Menu HERE. If a family of 4 splits these 2 meals and drinks water (w/1 kid drink included) – this meal would be $37.00 (plus tax + tip).
- Tony’s Town Square Restaurant – Two people or a small family could split Tony’s Pizza Pie. It’s $19.00 with just cheese, but you can add Pepperoni, Sausage, or Garden Vegetables for a few dollars more. If your family loves pizza or even if you order a pie for the kids, this is one of the great meals to split at Disney World. See the full menu HERE.
Casey’s Corner & Pinnochio Village Haus
- Casey’s Corner – Two kids or adults could share the Foot Long Chili Cheese Dog for $13.99. Add an order of French Fries to split for $4.49 and you’ve got a meal for less than $20.00 ($18.50 + tax). Or… you can order the Corn Dog Nuggets Meal with Apple Slices or Fries for $9.99 AND the Chili Cheese Fries for $6.49. Split both, and get free cups of water, for a meal that’s about $17.00 (plus tax). See the full menu at Casey’s Corner HERE.
- Pinnochio Village Haus – Two people can share the Pepperoni Flatbread (or Cheese or All Meat Flatbread) for $11.99 and add an extra order of Garlic Breadsticks with Marinara for $4.99. These offers are for lunch and dinner. Drink free cups of iced water and you’ve got a lunch or dinner for less than $20.00 (actually about $17.00 plus tax). See the full menu HERE. P.S. I can honestly eat this flatbread by myself – It’s basically like having 2 slices of thin-crust pizza. Some people may find this enough to share (especially little kids), but I would also need the breadsticks if I had to share. See the photo of the flatbread below.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café – Choose Any entrée from the Menu (most less than $15.00, except for the 1971 meal which is about $20.00 and includes a drink and cake pop) for lunch or dinner from the Pecos Bills menu. You can order a side of chips for $4.99 and then load them to the ceiling with your favorites veggies and toppings at the toppings bar (salsa, guacamole, veggies, cheese, corn, jalapenos, pico de gallo, etc.). This can be a very filling meal for around $20.00 or less (plus tax). See the full menu HERE. These entrees are some of the best meals to split at Disney World.
Sleepy Hollow (in Liberty Square)
- Sleepy Hollow (in Liberty Square) – Snack -Try the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich. It’s a Nutella-covered waffle with Blueberries, Strawberries, and Banana’s is a hearty snack for at least 2 people for $8.29.
- Sleepy Hollow (in Liberty Square) – Funnel Cake with Strawberries and Powdered Sugar – $8.29 (with Strawberries and Whipped Cream)
- Sleepy Hollow (in Liberty Square) – Two people could split a Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich (Broccoli Slaw with a Honey-Sriracha Glaze served with House-made Chips) for $10.49 served with chips (You can add an extra order of house-made chips for $2.99) and that’s a meal/snack for 2 people for less than $15.00. I know a family of 3 that orders 2 Chicken Waffles and 1 fruit waffle. They split the 3 waffles, getting lunch and dessert for 3 people for about $30.00 or $10.00 each.
Friar’s Nook & Liberty Square Market
- Friar’s Nook (Fantasyland) – Two kids could split the Bacon Macaroni & Cheese Hot Dog with Tots for $11.49. Adults might share, especially if you add a side of tots with cheese sauce for $5.49. That’s a good size meal for about $17.00 (plus tax). See the full menu HERE.
- Liberty Square Market (Liberty Square) – The Turkey Legs at Liberty Square Market are HUGE and can be shared. They are $12.49. You can add on a couple of sides from the menu and still spend less than $20.00 for two people to share. Or add a Mickey Pretzel w/cheese for $7.19 to split and share both (turkey leg & pretzel) for around $20.00 (plus tax).

Other Ways to Save Money on Food at Disney
- Adults can order Kid’s Meals for themselves. I find that the portions are smaller but still generous. And, they usually come with a side, some fruit, and a drink. Yes, you will find a lot of sandwiches and burgers, but some of the kid’s meals are very interesting choices.
- Children can also split meals at Disney World. Kids can order and share an “adult” entree. Maybe the restaurant only serves Uncrustables and Turkey Sandwiches from the kid’s menu. The kiddos could, instead, split a chicken breast nugget meal (8 decent-sized chicken nuggets and fries) or a bowl of spaghetti with meatballs (or any other entree). Hopefully, you’re lucky and your kiddos will want to eat the same entree.
- Cups of water are FREE.
- You can bring your own snacks and even meals to Disney World. I’ve seen a mom whip out bread and peanut butter from underneath her stroller and start making sandwiches for her kids. While waiting in line for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, I watched a young man behind us pull out a Tupperware of pasta to eat.
- You can split an entree and add a side or two to keep costs down. Or, add bread (a few restaurants offer complimentary bread). These can make your meal more filling and make for an inexpensive breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I’ve tried to give you many examples of these in the list below.
…continued
- Bring your own food/snacks for your room. If you’re driving to Disney, you can bring groceries with you. Or, if you have a rental car while in Orlando, you can do Grocery pickup. You can also have food delivered from an online grocer. Just know that most resorts do charge a fee now ( I think it’s like $6.00).
- Eat breakfast in your room. I’m not a big breakfast eater. I like a cup of coffee (or 4) and maybe a granola bar to keep me going until lunch. Disney hotels usually have a mini fridge in the room for juice and yogurt, etc. And, if there isn’t a microwave in your room, there should be one at the resort food court. We’ve used this to heat up frozen breakfast foods or leftovers (pizza for breakfast, anyone?)
- If staying off-site, find a hotel that offers a free breakfast. Or, find a hotel with a kitchenette or an Airbnb to make your own breakfast (or lunch or dinner).
- After a long day at the parks, a day off from the parks, or an arrival day, just order a pizza. Wait for it to be delivered, and share it with the family for a relatively cheap dinner. Family-sized pizzas (About 8 slices) usually run about $17.99+ plus tax and tip.
- If you have Starbucks gift cards lying around, bring them to Disney World. You can use them at any Starbucks location in the parks. See locations HERE.

We love Disney World and always have so fun much. It’s really so good to know there are some cheaper options in Magic Kingdom. It helps with my budgeting.
Yay! We love the sit-down, table service, and character meals but we also like to ride all the rides and would rather grab something quick and keep moving. These less expensive meals help us eat well and keep going!
We are heading to WDW in March and I have been stressing about the food. The last few times we had Disney dining but we don’t have that option this time
Yeah, I hope they bring back the Dining plan soon. Disney has recently been offering $750 in dining credit with certain hotel/ticket packages. I hope that’s a sign of things to come!
Everything looks so delicious! We are headed to Disney World this summer, so I will definitely use these great suggestions.

Oh wow I so want to go to Disney! It’s great to hear what you can share and what you cannot – this will help with budgeting.
Yes, Disney is pretty generous with their portions. I have a big appetite and I’m starving after walking the park, and I still can share some meals.
Wow! Those Turkey legs and Mickey Pretzel are looking good and delicious!
Yes! I can just see you walking around MK with a turkey leg in one hand and a Mickey Pretzel in the other!
