Wow! There is so much to do there that I didn’t even know about. I definitely want to spend some time in the Smoky Mountains!
So much to do! And so fun!
The views are so breathtaking that I personally found the outdoors part most attractive. The mountains have special magical vibe about them. I always feeel specially relaxed there. The food options look great as well. Looks like I can easily spend entire vacation there.
Oh yes, just relaxing and enjoying the views is one of my favorite things to do in the Smokies.
I am very familiar with this area because it is a place I’ve contemplated moving with my husband. But I had no idea there were this many places to see and things to do! I’m going to show this amazing list to my husband when we talk about moving again soon. This was the perfect post for me to read today!
Lucky!! I would love to live in the Smoky Mountains!
Hi KristyB, What a fantastic post! It’s so full of useful information. It was a great reminder of what’s so often overlooked in my busy world-Travel!. I can’t wait to spend more time and utilize the info you have given me. I’m just over three of the most stressful weeks in ages and need a vacation. I love this info! When is the best time of year to visit here?
Oh, I’m sorry things have been stressful, Nikki. Hopefully, you’ll get a break soon. The Smokies are a lot of fun. I think you’ll really enjoy it. The fall is beautiful, especially in October because the leaves are changing (3rd week of October is the best). It is very crowded then though. Also, the winter is nice because everything is decorated for the holidays and you can ski at Ober Gatlinburg and drink hot cocoa by the fireplace in your cabin. Everything blooms in the spring and it’s beautiful then. Summer has lovely weather and you can do all of the outdoor activities. So, it’s always a good time to go, I guess. It really just depends on what you want to do while you’re there.
