Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom
|I highly recommend having a meal at Be Our Guest at the Magic Kingdom park. From the moment you step inside the castle (you’re actually in the rocks under the castle, but still…) you feel like you are immersed in the Beast’s home. It’s a great experience and the food is really good!
If you want to eat at Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom, I highly recommend trying to get a reservation a soon as possible. This restaurant is very popular!
Quick Service Reservation (QSR)
At lunch, Be Our Guest offers a quick-service lunch and you will need a Quick Service Reservation.
At the front of the entrance, you will check in with some cast members. We arrived about 20 minutes early, and we were allowed to go on in. First, we crossed a pretty bridge and then headed to the entrance. After entering the lobby, we got in line to place our order.
After entering We waited in line to have our order taken. We were in a beautiful hallway that was lined with knights in armor. The knights would occasionally cough or make noises, and some were sleeping.
As we reached the front of the line, we could place our order with a cast member or at a kiosk. I needed to order a gluten-free meal so we placed our order with a very nice cast member.
After placing our order, we stepped into the beautiful Grand Ballroom. This room is very popular and the tables fill quickly. There are gorgeous chandeliers and even “magical” snow falling outside the windows.
Cast Members told us that they would “magically” find us and a waiter would bring us our food. Our food arrived on real plates and we had real silverware, which I didn’t expect since it was a quick service meal. It was really nice!
There is a drink station where you can get your own drinks. My daughter ordered chocolate milk that was brought out from the kitchen. I had coffee and my son ordered orange juice and those were available at the drink station.
The Three Dining Rooms
The Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom is gorgeous. It is also very popular and seats fill very quickly. Even if you don’t get to eat here, you can walk around to check out all of the details.
The Beast’s Library/ Rose Gallery
The Rose Gallery/Library Dining Room is very comfortable and we loved the music box in the middle of the room. This seems to be the room that fills up last for some reason. We ate here and we absolutely loved it (even though the kids really wanted to eat in the West Wing).
Even if you don’t eat in the Rose Gallery, I recommend checking out the large music box. It is absolutely beautiful.
The West Wing
The West Wing is the smallest of the dining rooms and it fills up very quickly. It is very dark and it might be a little spooky for really small children. My kiddos really wanted to eat in here, but it was packed with guests.
Even if you can’t/don’t want to eat in the West Wing, you can still walk around in the room and check it out. You will see the ripped painting of the Prince, a fireplace, and the rose encased in glass.
The Food
Be Our Guest is a French-inspired restaurant and the food was fantastic! I needed a gluten-free meal and I was told that any entree could be GF except for the quiche. They even offered a GF Lemon Curd Cream Puff- YUM!
My son ordered the Grilled Cheese Kid’s Meal. It came with juice, turkey and noodle soup (which he gave to his sister), and mashed potatoes. And, we ordered an extra side of fries.
My daughter ordered the turkey sandwich with fries off the regular menu. The portions were huge! She also had a Be Our Guest Chocolate Cupcake.
All of the food was really delicious and there was plenty of it. We were so hungry after a very busy morning at the park, so it was nice to sit down and have a filling, hot meal.
Last-Minute Reservations
How to Snag a Last-Minute Reservation at Be Our Guest
I was unable to get a reservation for Be Our Guest for the day of our visit to the Magic Kingdom before we left for our trip to Disney World. But, I was able to get a last-minute lunch reservation (and could have gotten breakfast) on the day before. Here’s how you can snag a last-minute reservation, too:
Here’s the deal: People can cancel their reservations up to 24 hours before their meal. So… if Suzy Q. and her family decide they can’t make it to Be Our Guest for breakfast on Wednesday…she will cancel her reservation on Tuesday morning.
So…if you are visiting Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, you can check the Disney Experience APP starting Tuesday morning to see what is available after all of the last-minute cancellations.
This also works for lunch and dinner…but I must say dinner reservations are harder to snag because the Beast does meet and greets at this time. You can keep checking your Disney APP throughout the day – even at bedtime. Some people don’t cancel their reservations until late – after they leave the park.
We had a “day off” from the parks on Tuesday and I checked the APP all throughout the day as we hung out at the pool and played mini-golf. I didn’t make any other reservations and I didn’t tell the kids what I was hoping to do (to avoid disappointment). Around 10 a.m. I snagged a lunch reservation and it fit perfectly with our schedule (all of the available breakfast reservations meant we would miss some Fastpass+ that we were really excited about).
Using the Disney APP to Make Your Reservation
***Keep in mind that you have to give a Credit Card number to make a reservation for Be Our Guest. I was so accustomed to paying for everything with my Magic Bands, I didn’t even think about having my card with me all the time. We were at the Beauty and the Beast Show at Hollywood Studios and I checked the APP. They had a lunch reservation (48 hours in advance) but I didn’t bring my credit card into the park. So… I lost that one… so, if you’re planning to make a last-minute reservation, keep your credit card handy at all times.
As we got ready to head to the Magic Kingdom, I told the kids that we were eating at Be Our Guest and they were so excited! And, I have to say, it was a great experience!

It looks like a great place for children to have fun and to have a great meal. I loved the decore of grand ballroom. It’s aesthetically very rich. Loved the ambiance as well.
It really is a cool experience!
This is the best place for kids to have fun. I would have enjoyed this as a kid; however, I guess I would love it now as well. Your pictures are lit and I loved the restaurant concept more than anything.
I think I had as much fun as the kids did, Shreya!
I have been reading reviews about the Magic Kingdom and I would really love to visit. I am a huge Disney fan so, this is really a treat. So far, I am very excited to see the West Wing. It’s looks straight from the movies.
Magic Kingdom is really cool, Clarice. There is so much to do there. And, yes, the West Wing made us feel like we were immersed in the movie.
OMG I love Disney, especially Belle of Beauty and the Beast. This is so cool even for an adult like me. I bet if I will visit this place, I will definitely dress-up for my favorite character 😀
Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite Disney movies growing up, too Blair! The details in this restaurant are amazing. It is even snowing outside the windows.
First thing I notice, you can always walk around the other rooms. That’s really great! So at least you get to experience the whole Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom. The food look delicious, especially the desserts. I want that wonderful Chocolate Cupcake!
Yes, for lunch, you can pick your own seats, so we walked around looking for a spot we liked. But, even before we left, we walked around again. Lots of people walk around and check the place out and take photos.
Thats so cool, it really does look like the inside of the Beast’s castle! I would have loved this as a kid. The prices don’t look too steep either! I love how Disney restaurants really do transport you into their different storybook worlds
The prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. You would love it Francesca!
Sounds like an amazing experience to have while at Disney World, especially for the whole family. I totally would love to eat in the West Wing as it looks so beautiful. And to feel like you are in Beast’s castle would be amazing, especially growing up having watching Beauty & the Beast which was my favorite of Disney movies!
Yes, the West Wing is really cool. It is the smallest of the dining rooms and it fills up quickly. Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorites too, Soraya!
What an amazing place. A fantasy venue for lunch. Knights coughing – what a blast. Thanks for sharing as I did not know that you could enjoy Be Our Guest.
Yes, I loved all of the little details, Jane. I was a little startled when I realized someone next to me was coughing and no one was there except for the knights. HA! It took me a second to figure it out!
Wow, I love the attention to detail from the gorgeous ambiance to the knights even coughing from time to time. But I’m even more impressed that the food was so good too. It certainly looks exquisite and impressive that they have the GF options. It can be really hard to find places that focus on both atmosphere and cuisine, but leave it to Magic Kingdom to find the perfect blend!
Yes, I was impressed with the food, Kate. And, the gluten-free options were so good. I’ve heard that at dinner, there is some thunder and rumbling noises throughout the castle and then the Beast walks through the castle to do meet and greets.
