Gluten-free at Magic Kingdom at Disney World
|One of my favorite parts of traveling is trying new foods. It has been challenging to find foods I can have now that I have a severe gluten allergy. Sometimes, it is difficult to find restaurants that accommodate a gluten-free and/or paleo diet (it’s getting much easier, though!)
And, when I’m on vacation I want to relax and enjoy myself and not stress about whether I will find something I can eat or not. What I loved about our recent trip to Disney World all of the gluten-free options at all four parks, at Disney Hotels and Resorts, and the restaurants at the Boardwalk. They offer such a nice variety of delicious meals and snacks! I didn’t worry about it at all!
Here is everything thing I learned about eating Gluten-free at Disney and lists of the GF foods you can find at the Magic Kingdom park:
**Disclaimer
This information is based on our travels in February 2019.
Disney can change their menus and options at any time, so please ask questions and read labels. Disney World provides Gluten Allergy-Friendly Menus. Their gluten-free entrees are prepared separately from other foods and gluten-free foods are served on a separate tray.

Helpful Tips for Eating Gluten-Free at the Magic Kingdom Park
Plan Ahead
Contact SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com or 407-WDW-DINE to ask questions or make reservations indicating “special dietary request”, at least 14 days in advance.
Pack Snacks
Disney allows guests to bring outside food and snacks into the park. You just can’t bring in glass containers – the only exception being baby food. If you need or want certain GF snacks for your day at the park, just bring them with you!
I’ll be straight up honest with you – I packed a backpack full of gluten-free crackers, snacks, and nuts. I didn’t eat any of it! There were so many gluten-free options at Disney World Parks and Resorts, I didn’t need to have my GF crackers!
Of course, your situation may be completely different. If you have multiple allergies or blood sugar issues, you would probably want to bring in your own snacks.
Use the Find Me Gluten-Free APP
You can download the Find Me Gluten-Free APP to plan your trip and/or activate it during your trip to Disney World. This APP will show you all the updated GF options near you and reviews for each restaurant in the park.

Be Our Guest
We were able to snag a last-minute reservation for Be Our Guest. It was a Quick Service Reservation (QSR). I explained that I needed a gluten-free meal and she informed me that any of the entrees could be made gluten-free, except for the quiche.
Even Kids’ Meals could be gluten-free. Proteins available include turkey, pork, and shrimp. Many of the sides include broccoli, green beans, seasonal veggies, zucchini, and mashed sweet potatoes. Just ask your waiter or Cast Member taking your order about GF options for kids.

My entree and dessert came out separate from my children’s meals. This seems to be the protocol for serving allergy-friendly meals at all Disney Parks and Resorts.

Having a meal at Be Our Guest was one of my favorite experiences at Magic Kingdom. From the three beautiful dining rooms to the “magical” Disney snow falling outside the windows, it is a lovely experience.
