Tiny Towne in Atlanta, Georgia

Tiny Towne
We had such a fun time while we were at Tiny Towne!
Located in Norcross (just a few minutes north of Atlanta), this place is set up more like school, but the kids had so much fun while they were learning.
We paid $40 for each child ($80 total) to get a pass holder card/driver’s licenses, unlimited train rides, and 40 minutes of driving a Smart Car. It did feel like a lot of money but for their first visit they:
- Received their pass holder ID’s
- Watched a 12 1/2 minute instructional video
- Took a test based on the video/road signs/road markings/driving safety
- Practiced driving in a simulator
- Drove around Tiny Towne in a Smart Car for 40 minutes.
- Received unlimited train rides
I was very impressed with how much my kiddos learned while they were at Tiny Towne! I don’t think you can start too young or be too prepared when it comes to driving safety.
How It Works
In order to be able to qualify to drive in Tiny Towne, kids must be at least 57″ tall and 9 years old. They have to pass the Traffic Test 101 and the Simulator Test. Both of these tests were monitored by the instructors and they offered help if the kids needed it.
We sat through a 12 1/2 minute video about all the different road signs. They learned that the shapes and colors of signs have special meanings. This video also showed what the symbols on the road signs meant as well.
The kids learned about yellow and white lines on the road and what those meant. They also learned the difference between straight lines and dotted lines on roadways.
The Driving Simulator
After the Traffic Test 101, the kids moved on to learning to drive with a simulator. This helped to give them a more realistic feel for driving before they moved on to practice driving in the Smart Cars.
Driving
These Smart Cars are high-tech. They keep up with the kids driving times, violations, and speed increases. If a driver goes without violations, he/she can go faster. The more violations they receive, the slower their Smart Car will go. There is a timer in the car that alerts the driver when their driving time is over and they need to return the car.
Above: Heading into the tunnel with the instructor. There are two tunnels – one for cars and one for the train. Situated above the tunnel, there is a sitting area with chairs and tables for the parents.
Above: Learning how to use a turn signal, watching road markings, and how to merge with the instructor.

The Tiny Towne Police
Above: You gotta watch out for the Po-Po. My son ran a stop sign once and got pulled over. It was funny watching those blue lights chase him down. The “officer” was nice and let him off with a warning. If the kids continue to break the traffic laws they’re penalized with a slower speed.
Tiny & Booster Cars
The Carcade
The Carcade is a fun spot inside Tiny Towne. Arcade games cost about 1-2 credit each. My kids could have spent 8 billion dollars in here playing air hockey!
There are some party rooms located next to the Carcade for those having a party at Tiny Towne. You can find more information on parties and invitations HERE.

This is amazing. I may need to take a few adults so they can learn how to drive for the first time! lol. I love that it’s fun and educational at the same time.
Hahahahaha! For real!
Wow! I’d want my driving license early if I had traveled in these cars as a child! So fascinating
I hope this helps to prepare them for driving when they are ready (Even though I’ll never be ready for them to drive!).
Wow!!! Tiny Towne sounds soo cool. I kinda wish they had something similar here in Austin so that I can take my kiddos. What a great experience.
Your kiddos would love it! I wish they would build a franchise. I’ve never seen anything like it any where else.
Oh wow! This place looks awesome. What a fun way to teach road safety awareness.
That was my favorite thing about this place, Jayne! They learned so much while they were there.
Amazing! My kids will love this! The facility is very helpful for children so they will know how to be independent . They will learn a lot here!
I know right, Karla! These kids are going to start driving one day whether I like it or not. So, I want to make sure they’re prepared any way I can.
I have never been there and that looks like a fun place to visit. I am sure my kids will really love to be there.
It was a lot of fun, Geraline! Your kids would have so much fun.

That’s what I liked about this place, Christa! My kids had so much fun, but they learned so much about driving safety and controlling a vehicle.
Such a fun place! My son will definitely have a blast here. 🙂
Your son would love it! My son was in heaven – even though he got pulled over by the “police” for running a stop sign.
This is SUPER cute and a great way to get kids thinking about safe driving.
You’re so right, Ashley!
How have I never heard of this place!?! Totally coming here when my youngest is 9yo so both my boys can experience it!
I just learned about it recently, Marcie. I do think there is more for them to enjoy when they turn 9. But there is a small track and a train for little kids, but my kids would have been bored with it in about 30 minutes. I would probably go all the time if I lived closer!
This looks like a place I want to bring my kid to. It looks so much fun! Wish they have one close to where I lived.
I know! I hope they open up more of these across the country.
That looks like the perfect place for adventure! I bet your kids had the time of their life there 🙂
They did, Flavia. They thought it was so cool to “drive” a car by themselves.
Tiny Town seems like a really great place, I bet the children love it there.
It’s a great place to take the kids!

I really can’t recommend this place enough! It really helps teach kids about controlling a vehicle, road signs, and road safety.

Looks like a funplace to visit in Georgia. I’ll definitely go here one day with my family.
I hope you do, Preet! Your family will really enjoy it!
This looks like a fun park even for adults. I wish we had this in Paris. Hope you had a great time!
I wish I were in Paris!
This is an awesome, educational place! I wonder if there are other places like this around the US…
I think they might use the technology at other businesses or franchises down the road ( I think the smart cars technology might be created and owned by Tiny Towne). I’ll let you know if I hear anything!
It’s a nice way to teach your kids to be responsible on the road and to practice road safety even at such young ages. Kudos!
My kids are only 8 & 10 and I am dreading the day they start driving! This experience at Tiny Towne helped my feelings a lot!
I love the colorful little cars in Tiny Towne. Also love there are test street signs to educate the children. Guess the kids should have a blast!
They had a great time! And I’m so proud of all that they learned while there.
What an amazing facility for children. Education, practical learning and fun all at the same time! Great concept and execution.
I was really impressed, Nicole!
